Accessibility statement
Accessibility statement
This statement describes the accessibility of SporChat — the web app at www.sporchat.app and its mobile shells. We treat accessibility as part of the product rather than an addition to it, and this statement is updated whenever something in it changes.
1. Level of accessibility
The app is built to WCAG 2.1 level AA, the basis of the Israeli standard IS 5568. Every screen is measured automatically before a release: text contrast ratios, an accessible name on every control, heading structure, and an axe-core scan that has to come back clean. A screen that fails any of those does not ship.
2. What is implemented
Contrast: all text meets at least 4.5:1 against the surface it sits on, in both the dark and the light theme. Touch targets: every button, link and control is reachable in at least 44 by 44 pixels, even where its visual size is smaller. Keyboard: every control can be reached and operated from the keyboard, with a visible focus ring. Screen readers: every image carries alternative text or is marked decorative, and every control carries an accessible name. Motion: anyone whose system asks for reduced motion gets the app without animation, and the setting can also be turned on or off by hand. Hebrew: the interface is right-to-left from the ground up, and numbers, Latin names and addresses keep their own direction inside Hebrew text.
3. Known limitations
Some content in the app comes from external data providers — team names, player photographs, radio streams. We do not control that content, so parts of it may not be fully accessible. The app has also not yet been surveyed by a certified accessibility surveyor; the checks described here are automated and internal.
4. Accessibility enquiries
Found something in the app that is not accessible to you? We would like to hear about it and fix it. Write to sporchatapp@gmail.com or use the contact page in the app. Accessibility is the responsibility of Nadav Cohen (sole proprietor), who is also the service owner and data controller. We aim to answer any accessibility enquiry within seven business days.
